Dominica, Filming Location for POTC II & III

Hello Johnny!

Introduction

Dominica (not to be confused with the Dominican Republic) is one of the small islands that make up the eastern Caribbean chain. It is located in the middle of this chain, between the French island of Martinique and Guadeloupe.

Formerly a British colony (we've been independent since 1978) our main language is English but many people speak a French-based Creole.

How to Get Here

Though we don't have a large international airport there are several ways to get here. Melville Hall is our main airport, located in the north of the island. Its international airport code is DOM.
Melville Hall Airport is served by flights from neighbouring islands, so you can connect via Antigua, Barbados, St. Lucia and San Juan.

We are also served by two high-speed ferries from Martinique, Guadeloupe and St. Lucia. The Ferry Terminal is located in the capital, Roseau.

Or you could hoist the skull & crossbones and sail the high seas!
